Touch & Trade Call For Art
Touch & Trade is a provocative, community-driven experiment that combines the beauty of art with the freedom of touch in an artistic environment. This exhibition invites visitors to experience and reflect on art not only through their eyes and minds, but also through feeling, texture, and the sense of touch.
The exhibition creates a unique, one-of-a-kind experience by breaking the traditional “fourth wall” of the gallery and creating a space for freedom, curiosity, connection, and exploration. Artists are encouraged to submit work that engages the senses, invites interaction, or explores themes of touch, sensuality, pleasure, intimacy, connection, reciprocity, and exchange.

What happens when creativity becomes a way to express identity, memory, hope, and resilience? What do we see when we look beyond the walls?
‘Art From the Inside’ is an exhibition featuring powerful works by artists who are currently or formerly incarcerated at various Ohio institutions.
Through painting, drawing, and other forms of creative expression, these artists invite us to look beyond the circumstances of incarceration and connect with the people, perspectives, and stories behind the work.
